5280 Frequent Parker Club FAQs
Are there any fees associated with the 5280 program?
No. It is free to register and there are no annual fees. In addition, the rewards points you accrue never expire.
When will my 5280 proximity card be ready?
5280 proximity cards used for all discounts (that are not connected to an ExpressToll account) are processed weekly and available to be picked up at our indoor valet front desk. We sometimes experience longer lead times based on our inventory of cards, but cards are usually ready within a few days of submission. Proximity cards can be mailed to you by sending a special request to email@example.com, however, you may still be asked to provide the appropriate identification if applicable. If you are traveling within the next week or have any questions, please contact Lynda at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Why does my account show as inactive?
When you sign in to your 5280 account, our account will not become active until a 5280 proximity card or ExpressToll transponder is processed and linked to your account.
How do I use my card once I receive it?
Can I add an additional credit card to my account?
Yes. Simply sign on to your account, select the “Credit Cards” tab and add your credit card. Make sure the active button is selected next to the credit card you wish to be charged for your visit before you leave.
How do I redeem my frequent parker points?
To redeem your points for free days, sign on to your account, navigate to the “Rewards” tab, select where you would like to park (valet, covered, open air), select the number of days you wish to redeem and then reserve the dates. You must use your 5280 card or ExpressToll system like you normally do to enter and exit, and will not be charged for the days you have redeemed.
NOTE: You must park in the lot which you reserved with your frequent parker points, or you will be charged for your stay. You must use your 5280 card or ExpressToll system like you normally do.
How can I cancel or change my scheduled free days?
Log into your 5280 account and go to your ‘Activity’ page and click on the “Card” arrow to change parking redemptions. As long as your free days have not already started, you will find the word “cancel” next to the transaction. You can then cancel your free days and schedule them the way you intended. The points will be returned to your account once you cancel your free day redemption.
In the event a guest schedules their free days differently than intended and isn’t able to make the correction before parking, the best solution is to just park and call or email Lynda@canopyparking.com when the trip is completed. We will then process a refund and make any corrections required.
How do I get my receipts?
To obtain a copy of your receipt, sign on to your account, select the “Activity” tab, then click on the PDF link located to the right of each exit time to view and/or print a receipt.
Must I have a credit card on file?
Yes, our 5280 Frequent Parker Program requires that you have a credit card on file. This allows for us to automate your stay at Canopy and provide you frequent parking points with the convenience of scanning your card to enter and exit the facility.
Credit card security, and compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard, is something which Canopy takes very seriously. Our technology systems and solutions are in compliance with PCI DSS. Canopy only utilizes third party vendors who are certified as compliant with these standards for our credit card processing needs. Data and personal information are encrypted and securely transmitted for your protection and peace of mind.
What if I'm an ExpressToll customer?
ExpressToll rewards members can use their ExpressToll transponder to enter and exit the parking lot – no 5280 proximity card is necessary. When you connect your 5280 rewards account to your ExpressToll account, you can enjoy faster entry and exit, plus save 25% off daily rates.
Can I register for the ExpressToll discount if I have a sticker tag?
Yes, we accept all ExpressToll transponder devices including the sticker, square transponder and the new HOV switchable transponder.
Can I show my AAA card at checkout and get the discount?
In order to save 20%, we request that you provide the QR coded coupon along with a valid AAA membership card at checkout. Coupons can be redeemed by printing or displaying on mobile device. Download AAA coupon here.
If you are registering for the 5280 Canopy rewards program, you can include “AAA” in the business/discount field. Registered parkers are eligible to earn free days (7 days = 1 free day). Must present valid AAA membership card at time of proximity card pick up.
How do I receive the Heroes discount?
In order to save 20%, we request that you provide physical QR coded coupon (business card size) at checkout along with valid identification. If you are a first responder and would like to receive physical coupons for your station, please email email@example.com with your place of employment and business mailing address.
If you are registering for the 5280 Canopy rewards program, you can include “Heroes” in the business/discount field. Registered parkers are eligible to earn free days (7 days = 1 free day). Must present valid identification at time of proximity card pick up.
Can I use the Heroes discount if I am retired?
Yes, as long as you still have identification that shows your association as a first responder, retirees are more than welcome to use the heroes discount.
How do I know if I qualify for the Business Class discount?
Our business class discount has qualifications based on number of travelers and frequency. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to see if your company qualifies.
Are there any fees to register as a Business Class account?
No, there are no fees to join Canopy’s Business Class rewards program.
Can I receive the Airline Personnel discount if I am retired?
Yes, as long as you still have identification that shows your association with an airline, retirees are more than welcome to use the discount.
You may also register for the 5280 Canopy rewards program and include “Airline Personnel” in the business/discount field to receive your 30% discount. Registered parkers are eligible to earn free days (7 days = 1 free day). Must provide valid first identification at pick up of rewards proximity card.
