Story’s Baseball Jersey Sells for over $12,000!
Colorado Rockies very own Trevor Story had his 2016 opening day jersey auctioned off and sold by Major League Baseball for $12,250 this past Sunday. The pricey jersey was worn by Story when he hit his fifth and sixth home runs of the season at the Coors Field home opener against the San Diego Padres. Trevor Story has already set a record this season for having the most home runs during the first six games, making baseball history. Film on the Rocks Lineup Released!
Finally, the Denver Film Society and Denver Arts & Venues announced the lineup for the 17th season of Film on the Rocks. If you are new to Colorado, this is a summer event at Red Rocks that cannot be missed and surpasses any drive-in movie theater. Movie goers sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views while listening to a live music performance before the sun sets and the movie begins. It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no really it’s a train!
After more than 20 years of planning, the RTD high speed train from Union Station to Denver International Airport is opening Earth Day, Friday April 22nd. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at DIA on Friday at 10am, and an Earth Day celebration at Union Station in LoDo from 10am-2pm. Train rides are free Friday and Saturday, after that it will be $9 per person each way. While this sounds like a great deal, it’s not always the best option for airport transportation.
